What Would You Have Me Do?

I've come to realize that the deeper you go, the more conscious you become—not of what you want to say or suggest, but of what He wants, and what He is saying. Your desire shifts from speaking to listening. It reminds me of the prophet Habakkuk, who said: "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me..." ( Habakkuk 2:1 — KJV) I've heard people say many times, “If I ever have an encounter with the Lord, I’ll ask Him all my questions, pour out my frustrations, and tell Him what I want.” But the truth is, the more you grow in fellowship with Him, the less it becomes about what you want to say, and more about what He wants to say.  And trust me, when you meet HIM, you won’t be able to say a word. The glory… The splendor… Not to mention the sheer power that floods the atmosphere when He steps in. At that moment, all you can do is be lost in adoration. Words will fail you utterly! No vocabulary, no language, no uttera...
